🌼 CROCHET DAISY TOTE BAG – WRITTEN PATTERN

(3×3 Daisy Granny Square Tote)

📏 Finished Size

Approx. 35–40 cm wide × 35 cm tall

🧶 MATERIALS

• Yarn (3 colors):

  • Cream / Beige – main bag color

  • White – petals

  • Yellow – flower center

• Hook: 4–5 mm

• Scissors

• Yarn needle

🌼 PART 1 — DAISY GRANNY SQUARE (MAKE 9)

Each square is worked in 3 rounds.

🔵 ROUND 1 — FLOWER CENTER (Yellow)

1. Magic ring

2. 12 double crochet (dc) into ring

3. Join with a slip stitch

4. Cut yarn

⚪ ROUND 2 — PETALS (White)

Join white yarn in any stitch.

Repeat 12 times:

• (ch 2, 2 half-double crochet (hdc), ch 2, slip stitch) in the same stitch

You now have 12 petals.
Fasten off.

🟡 ROUND 3 — SQUARE SHAPE (Cream / Beige)

Join the cream yarn between any petals.

Corners:

• (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc)

Sides:

• (3 dc) between each petal space

Work around to form a square shape.
Join with sl st.
Fasten off.

✅ Repeat until you have 9 squares.

🧵 PART 2 — ASSEMBLY (3×3 Layout)

Join squares using:

• Slip stitch join
  or

• Whip stitch with a needle

Join:

• First all rows

• Then columns

You now have one large square panel.

👜 PART 3 — FORMING THE TOTE

1. Fold the panel in half:

   • Bottom squares become the base

2. Stitch both side seams closed

3. Turn the bag right-side out

🪢 PART 4 — TOP BORDER

Attach cream yarn to the top opening.

Work:

• Single crochet (sc) around the entire top edge

• Make 2–3 rounds for structure

🎒 PART 5 — HANDLES (2 HANDLES)

Attach yarn at one side.

Handle:

• Chain 60–70

• Attach to the opposite side with the sl st

• Work sc back along the chain

• Repeat for the second handle

Add 1–2 reinforcing rows across where handles attach.
